WAGYU IMPORT GERMANY

Wagyu import — direct from Japan to Germany.

We import over two tonnes of Japanese Wagyu every month — direct from certified producers in Gunma and Oita, temperature-controlled all the way into our own EU-approved meat plant. For restaurants, butchers and wholesale, small quantities welcome.

IMPORTER WITH ITS OWN MEAT PLANT

Importer and meat plant — in one hand.

We deliver imported Wagyu as whole blocks in their original form — or, on request, cut and portioned in our own EU-approved meat plant (DE-HE 10510-EG). We have worked with Japanese Wagyu since 2014, and since 2022 as KABUKI Feinkost GmbH with our own plant.

ORIGIN

Two prefectures. No middlemen.

We import exclusively from two selected Japanese prefectures: Gunma (群馬) — Toriyama Umami Wagyu from the foot of Mt. Akagi, certified to Farm HACCP and JGAP — and Oita (大分) — Oita Wagyu in the tradition of the century-old Bungo cattle, exclusively meat quality 4 and higher.

In Germany we work in partnership with Naaimex GmbH — an importer of luxury Wagyu and premium beef based in Hamburg. Together we pool import volume, so whole Wagyu bodies can be purchased economically and every cut finds its best use.

FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Wagyu import to Germany — what you should know.

Is it legal to import Japanese Wagyu into Germany?
Yes. Japanese beef may be imported into the EU from EU-listed Japanese slaughter and cutting establishments. Every consignment is accompanied by a veterinary certificate and officially inspected at the border control post. For private individuals, however, meat from Japan may not be brought in luggage or sent by post — it always has to come through approved importers.
How does the Wagyu import work at KABUKI?
Temperature-controlled air freight from Japan to Frankfurt, customs clearance and veterinary border inspection there, then within 24 hours into our EU-approved meat plant (DE-HE 10510-EG). From there we deliver the blocks as they are — or, on request, cut them using Japanese technique, store them at 2 °C or shock-freeze them down to −30 °C.
How much does imported Japanese Wagyu cost?
The price depends on the cut, the quality grade (e.g. A4/A5, BMS marbling) and the quantity. We quote per enquiry — portioned to your own portion weight on request. Price on request.
What is the difference between Japanese Wagyu and German Wagyu?
Japanese Wagyu comes from purebred Kuroge bloodlines and is graded under the Japanese system (meat quality 1–5, BMS marbling 1–12). Wagyu cattle raised in Europe are often crossbreeds with a different marbling profile. Our range focuses exclusively on original Japanese Wagyu of quality grades 4 and 5.
How do I recognise genuine Japanese Wagyu?
By the individual ID of each animal, the bloodline certificate and the certificate of origin. With us, every batch is traceable back to the producer in Gunma or Oita — including lot numbers from our own meat plant.
Do you also deliver small quantities?
Yes. Alongside temperature-controlled pallet deliveries we ship by express with dry ice and insulated boxes — even single cartons, throughout Germany and Europe.
EU approval DE-HE 10510-EG
